The target of this project is to design and implement a system based on human-robot interaction that the robot can be controlled by the signals of the human muscles and imitate the exact motions of the human body.

This ability has many different applications in rehabilitation, and also use of robots in dangerous conditions where the presence of a human is needed.

Development of the robotic industry in the last decade has eventuated in various types of applications in different fields such as medical engineering. Attaining the new generation of Prosthetic Limbs with high performance is one of the most important achievements in this area which is the result of collaboration of different fields of study. This generation of limbs which are commonly in the field of intelligence, bio-robotics or bionics, present a performance similar to natural human limbs in order to retrieve the missed abilities in amputated disabled people.

The aim of this plan was to produce a robot which seems and acts like the human hand and is actuated by means of springs made of shape memory alloy, and is able to open and close its fingers. In order to implement this, a primary design of a human hand has been used and afterwards the mentioned mechanism has been applied to that.
